France's largest show and event ticketing organisation improves the performance of its booking system with the help of leading open source database
Paris -- July 11th, 2006 -- Billetel, the IT subsidiary of FNAC Spectacles, France’s largest entertainment ticketing company, has selected the MySQL open source database to run its new online ticket reservation system.
FNAC is the number one distributor of entertainment tickets in France -- offering a selection of more than 6,000 cultural events and a total of almost 50,000 individual performances a year. The Billetel software solution used by FNAC SPECTACLES was launched in 1990. Today, it is installed in all 350 FNAC ticket offices in France, Belgium and Switzerland, and also controls the company’s direct sales via the Web and by telephone. Billetel is also the solution used by the Carrefour and Geant hypermarkets.

Open Source Database Leader Adds Paul Weinstein as Executive Vice President of Business Development & Clint Smith as General Counsel

Open Source Database Vendor to Support the Strong & Vibrant Microsoft Development Community
London -- June 27, 2006 -- MySQL AB, the developer of the world’s most popular open source database, today announced its participation in the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) program as an Alliance-level partner. 1. In the middle of something?
正在忙吗?
很多人都会说"Are you busy?"。其实老美也常用 "In the middle of something?"。但这句话比较接近于 "Are you busy right now?"，是问人家"现在"是不是正在忙。"Are you busy?" 的含意比较广，也可指"最近"忙不忙。
2. What are you up to?
你正在作什么?
我们都会说"What are you doing?"。"What are you up to?" 同样也是问人家正在作什么。有时候老美见面时也会问 "What are you up to?"，意思就是问“你最近在做什么啊？”跟另一句问候语 "What's up?" 意思上很接近。但是你要听清对方的语气喔! 有时候 "What are you up to?" 指的虽然还是 "What are you doing?"，但它却是"你在搞什么鬼啊?"的意思。例如当你看到别人在乱翻你的东西, 你就可以责问他："Hey, what are you up to?"，也就是骂他"你在搞什么鬼啊？"。

Output Control 函数可以让你自由控制脚本中数据的输出。它非常地有用，特别是对于：当你想在数据已经输出后，再输出文件头的情况。输出控制函数不对使用 header() 或 setcookie(), 发送的文件头信息产生影响,只对那些类似于 echo() 和 PHP 代码的数据块有作用。
我们先举一个简单的例子，让大家对Output Control有一个大致的印象：

ob_start(); //打开缓冲区
echo \"Hellon\"; //输出
header(“location:index.php”); //把浏览器重定向到index.php
ob_end_flush();//输出全部内容到浏览器

所有对header()函数有了解的人都知道，这个函数会发送一段文件头给浏览器，但是如果在使用这个函数之前已经有了任何输出（包括空输出，比如空格，回车和换行）就会提示出错。如果我们去掉第一行的ob_start()，再执行此程序，我们会发现得到了一条错误提示：“Header had all ready send by”！但是加上ob_start，就不会提示出错，原因是当打开了缓冲区，echo后面的字符不会输出到浏览器，而是保留在服务器，直到你使用 flush或者ob_end_flush才会输出，所以并不会有任何文件头输出的错误！
